High Z-axis precision printing
During the printing process, using a smooth PEI print platform helps improve Z-axis accuracy, ensuring greater precision and consistency in vertical dimensions. These properties make smooth PEI sheets an excellent choice for printing precision-fit parts, where precise alignment and tight tolerances are critical.

Smooth Matte Surface Treatment
Using specially selected matte PEI sheets can give the bottom surface of printed products a smooth matte texture, thus improving their overall appearance.


 

Compatible with a variety of filaments
PEI can not onlyprint with common materials such as PLA ,TPU,PETG , but also with materials that require high temperatures such as ABS and nylon.
Note: If printing with filaments other than PLA, apply glue to prevent the sheet from tearing.

Reliable magnetic adhesion prevents warping
The Bambu Smooth PEI print platform features a 0.5 mm thick spring steel plate for enhanced magnetic adhesion, which helpsprevent warping and ensure optimal print quality during the 3D printing process. It also helps when printing large models in materials that are prone to warping, such as ABS, PC, and nylon.

Precautions

• Please note that when using a smooth PEI print platform on A1 , there is a higher risk of the print platform corners curling or the printed model falling off the plate. This is due to the use of thicker smooth PEI on the plate, which increases the distance to the bed magnets and reduces the magnetic attraction.

• If bubbles form on the bottom of the build platform, heating it on a heated bed at a temperature of at least 80 degrees for several hours may help eliminate the bubbles.

• Dust and grease deposited on the build plate can reduce adhesion. It is recommended to clean the surface regularly with detergent and water to maintain optimal adhesion.

• Do not use acetone to clean smooth PEI, as acetone will damage the PEI surface.

• Before removing a printed model, always wait a few minutes to allow the plate to cool down and to facilitate removal of the next print. This prevents damage to the board and ensures the service life of the product.

• Carefully sand the surface with fine sandpaper (600 grit is recommended) to help restore the bond.

• Smooth PEI sheets are considered consumable parts and will degrade over time. The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. Only panels that are defective upon arrival are covered under warranty.
