X1 Series FAQ

Does the X1/X1C support thermal runaway protection? 

Yes. Both printers have thermal runaway protection enabled.

What is the function of the X1 Series's buttons on top?

The left button is used to wake up the screen, and the second button is used to stop a print. 

Are other slicers compatible with the X1/X1C?

Yes, third-party slicers are supported, but they are not compatible with some functions of the printer like First Layer Inspection and AMS. We strongly recommend using Bambu Studio for the best print results.

Is the X1 slower than the X1C?

Yes, the X1 is slower, mostly because of the cooling capabilities, and mostly for PLA. Printing fast requires good cooling and the X1C can do it with the integrated auxiliary fan. Upgrading the X1 with an auxiliary fan can improve printing speed.

Is it possible to add an additional auxiliary fan for better cooling to the X1C?

The design of the printer is relatively compact, and there is not enough space to add a secondary auxiliary fan. The top glass cover can be opened to achieve better cooling. 

Is the LED light needed for the AI stuff to work?

Yes, vision inspection needs to be performed with LED light, but its accuracy is affected by factors such as ambient light, algorithm accuracy, sensitivity settings, etc., making it difficult to achieve 100% accurate identification. We will continue to improve the precision of our algorithms.

Why is the X1C AMS 2 Pro Combo not packaged with an additional set of PTFE tubes included in the AMS 2 Pro upgrade kit?

To provide a more cost-effective and sustainable user experience, the X1C AMS 2 Pro Combo does not include an extra set of PTFE tubes like the AMS 2 Pro upgrade kit. Here's the reasons:

For new X1C users, the printer comes with a 550mm tube, and the AMS 2 Pro has a 900mm tube attached to its back. If the feed resistance is normal, you can refer to the following instructions for connection. 

In case of abnormal resistance, you can trim the tube to the recommended lengths of 550mm and 370mm as shown in the diagram. 

For users purchasing the AMS 2 Pro upgrade kit, considering they have had the printer for some time, the provided 550mm and 370mm tubes may have been used up or lost. Hence, an additional set of tubes is prepared in the upgrade kit to ensure seamless connectivity. 

We aim to avoid passing on the cost of spare PTFE tubes to all users, making the product more affordable, reducing accessory waste, and promoting sustainability. If needed, you can purchase PTFE tubes separately for future use.

Why doesn't the X1C AMS 2 Pro Combo include the filaments and filament cutters provided in the X1C AMS Combo?

Currently, the X1C AMS 2 Pro Combo and X1C AMS Combo in the store are two different product combinations with varying configurations, pricing, and accessory content. We strive to equip the necessary accessories based on different use cases and functionalities to ensure a smooth user experience. If additional filaments or filament cutters are required during use, you may make separate purchases from the store.
